These photographs were taken in the Summer of 2001, in various parts of Italy.

Et tu, Brutus? That little fairly nondescript building isn't actually the Roman Senate, but is a reconstruction from 300 AD, on the original site. That's more or less the doorway where Ceasar was killed:
